2012 Christmas Day Fun

Christmas morning began early around our house. Per tradition, we all sleep in our bedroom together on Christmas Eve. Claudia and Cooper woke us up early this year, very anxious to find out if Santa had made it to our house yet. We spent some time reading the REAL Christmas story out of Luke and talking about the most amazing gift that is our Savior, Jesus. We finally gave in and agreed to get up.  Santa was very generous to my babies this year and they were super excited to see it all!

Cooper LOVED his Carolina Panthers cap!

Claudia got several Vera Bradley pieces and loved them.

Santa didn't forget the doggy members of our family. Theo and Spencer got several treats including rawhide in the shape of shoes for chewing!

Early in December, our Sunday School class had a party and all of our kids made these handprint trees. I will love having these every year to hang.

Claudia wasted no time pulling out her iPad and getting started. They were both so thankful for iPads which had been at the top of their lists this year.

He wasted no time getting dressed in his Cam Newton jersey and his REAL football pants.

They headed outside to share Theo's new treats with him.

We cooked breakfast and got everything ready for the grandparents to come. We always have brunch for the grandparents and the kids get so excited showing off their new gifts.

They were all excited to open their 2013 calendars. I don't think I'd ever get away with not making these because they are always a big hit.

After enjoying our Christmas Day at home, we headed to Paw Paw and Nana's house. We always have fun at their house with all of the cousins. Claudia and Cooper love having so many cousins to play with.

When Christmas day came to an end, we started setting our sights on Disney. We had one week to get everything back to normal before we could head south for a week of magic. Having our trip to look forward to helped me not be so sad over the end of Christmas. I loved our decorations so much, I had dreaded not having them up to enjoy but the promise of Disney was all the incentive I needed to get up bright and early on Dec 26th and get those trees down!
