This year our Cooper participated in the King of Hearts fundraising competition at our school. He was voted on by the students in his K classroom to represent Mrs. Nolan's class. The students have about 3 full weeks to raise as much money as possible for KES. We have a Winter Festival where the winners are announced and then we have games for the community. Cooper was very excited to represent his class. We baked and worked as hard as we could to raise funds for our favorite school.

No doubt about it, he is absolutely a King to us!
Claudia also represented her class in K and 1st grade.

This is all of the Kindergarten classroom representatives. Cooper did a great job but he did not raise the most money. It is really difficult to come out on top in this competition because this is a BIG fundraiser. For example, K-3, we have 29 classrooms. Each room has a boy rep and a girl rep. Those 58 students raised over $20,000 before we even opened the doors the night of the festival! That is some serious fundraising right there.
Win or lose, he will always be a King to us! He had fun and worked hard and those two things were very important for him to achieve. After the crowning, he was very happy to roam the school, Daddy in tow, and play all of the games. He was delighted with his bag of goodies he won at all of the games!
