Our trip to paradise...

God blessed us with an entire week in our favorite spot of paradise...Destin. We have never stayed an entire week before so Chad and I were looking so forward to having time to really relax and rest. We did a lot of both and loved every single minute. We did a lot of sunning, swimming, playing, digging in sand, eating yummy food, and hanging out with our favorite little ones! The beach was crowded everyday but it didn't interfere with our fun or our time together.

On our first morning, we decided to hit the kid's favorite souvenir shop, Build-a-Bear workshop. It's a tradition by now so we went early in the trip. The kids were so excited to get a new friend. They carefully chose a new puppy for him and a lamb for her.

Destin Commons is one of our favorite places to play and we went many times during our week!

New friends in tow, we headed to the Back Porch for lunch. We try to always choose places that allow us the amazing view of the gulf when we are in Destin. The Back Porch is never a bad choice!

Our kids are not "stay on the beach all day long" kind of kids. They love it but they just get tired of it after a couple of hours. By far, my favorite schedule at the beach is to get up and have lunch, do a little shopping, and hit the beach when the crowd is going in during the afternoon. On this day, we stayed out for a long time and the kids had so much fun in the waves.

It was a great first day! We headed up exhausted and ready for PJ's. I love being in Destin with my little family and I was so thankful that we still had so many days left!
