Destin Day 1

God blessed us with a trip to our favorite beach. Our first day in Destin was BEAUTIFUL. The best part was NO OIL! The beach was Destin beautiful and except for a little seaweed, the ocean was its typical turquoise blue! We were thrilled. We were also delighted when we went into our condo. This was the first time we had ever stayed here and it was a pleasant surprise. The kids were so excited on the drive down and literally, Cooper never stopped talking. Before we went to our condo, we went to have lunch at one of our favorite places, Pompano Joe's. Once we got unloaded and settled, we hit the beach. We played there for a while and then went to the pool. We stayed out until time for baths and a late dinner. It was a great first day and we were already so relaxed!

The view from our balcony....NO OIL!
This girl loves to play in the ocean...especially with her daddy!

Cooper loved the beach more this time than he ever has.

There were a lot of small shells which is unusual this time of year. We usually find more shells during our fall trip. Claudia was happy to roam and gather shells for a while.

My sweet babies...growing up so fast! Chad and I really treasure these times of escaping with them to really enjoy them and focus only on our little family.

Cooper used some of his tickets at the library carnival to buy a boogie board. He was so excited to go "surfing".

We LOVED the pool. It is really big for the size of the complex so it was not crowded at all. The kids really had fun playing in the mushroom.

We wrapped up the day with dinner on the balcony, playing fireman on the bunk beds, and getting started on new novels. Ah, what a great first day!
