By the Sea...This is the life for me!

Yesterday was our first day in Destin. We had the best first day ever! We left home around 7:30 and headed for the turquoise waters of the gulf. Once we got checked in and unloaded in our condo, we went to have a late lunch/early dinner at one of our favorite-must go to- places, Pompano Joes. It was delicious and the best part was NO WAIT for a table when you to at 3:00 in the afternoon! One of my pet peeves is wasting valuable vacation time waiting for a table in a restaurant. We were back to the condo and on the beach by 4:30. By then the beach was starting to thin out and we had a great time! Chad took a short nap in his beach chair and just as he was dreaming he was driving down here, Cooper dumped a huge bucket of ocean water on his feet and shocked him back to life! There was a great sand bar a long way out and the water was typical Destin...crystal clear and amazing. They both loved the ocean and we loved the view. We spent a lot of time on the beach and then went to the pool for a while. We opted for the heated pool because it was getting surprisingly cool for the beach in June and the wind was really cool. We played until we were pooped and then headed up for showers and PJ's. We were so blessed with such a great first day. We ended our day eating sandwiches and fruit on the deck. We are so thankful that God has blessed us with this vacation! Here are a couple of pictures from our day!
